Alpha Delta Eta Omega Chapter History
In January 2023, Candice Wright accepted the charge to initiate the process of establishing a chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in the suburban areas of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The journey commenced with the “Feel the Vibe” gathering on February 18, 2023, at Pilgrim Lutheran School in Menomonee Falls, where like-minded members united to share a common vision. With focused intention, the group continued to meet regularly, thoughtfully laying the groundwork to bring that vision to fruition. In June 2023, Priscilla HighTower Thompson and Safronia Dodd joined the core organizing team, adding strength, leadership, and steadfast commitment to the effort.
Working collectively and stargazing toward shared success, the group met regularly, collaborated with intention, and ultimately chose the name “Perpetual Roses of Wisconsin.” Under the guidance of Central Regional Director Kiahna W. Davis and Team Ready Liasson Tracey Bush, with determination and unity, the group submitted its interest group application—and on November 15, 2023, was officially approved as an interest group of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. By the close of 2023, the group had grown to include 42 dedicated members ready to move forward.
On January 20, 2024, the group hosted its inaugural meeting. From that moment forward, a commitment was made to purposeful service—uplifting communities through school supply drives, cultural celebrations, partnerships with local organizations, and impactful events designed to educate, empower, and inspire. The group’s monthly meetings evolved into more than just planning sessions—they became spaces to foster connection, cultivate leadership, and lay a strong foundation for sustainable service.
Throughout 2024, the Perpetual Roses of Wisconsin remained steadfast in service, leading impactful initiatives across the community. The group hosted the first-ever Black History Month program in the Germantown School District, worked in a local community garden to cultivate fresh produce for families in need, and prepared and served meals at a local homeless shelter. Members also partnered with area schools to provide seasonal wraps and healthy snacks for students, and organized heart health and fitness-focused events to promote wellness.
A sold-out garden tea event, centered on the “Black Tea Experience,” brought the community together for celebration and education. Through these collective efforts, the group raised over $4,000 in scholarship funds to support students within the service area. These hands-on initiatives reflect an unwavering commitment to uplifting and nourishing the communities served. In addition, the Perpetual Roses proudly supported voter education and registration efforts—reinforcing the vital importance of civic engagement in the places we call home.
With unwavering dedication, the group submitted its chapter chartering application to Central Regional Director Kiana W. Davis in January 2025. Just one month later, in February 2025, their collective efforts were joyfully rewarded with the official news that The Perpetual Roses of Wisconsin Interest Group had been approved to charter as a graduate chapter.
Alpha Delta Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was chartered August 10, 2025.
We are located in the Central Regional of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated®. Our service foot print included the Northwest Suburbs of Milwaukee, Waukesha County, Washington County, and Ozaukee County of Wisconsin.
